Cleaning for a Reason is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers free home cleaning to cancer patients in the United States and Canada. Our goal is to remove the burden of cleaning and allow those recovering from surgery, in active treatment, or in hospice to focus on their health and spending valuable time with loved ones.
We Clean Homes For Cancer Patients
A diagnosis of cancer can completely turn someone’s world upside down. Suddenly, the treatments and given medications can hinder the ability to achieve everyday activities. As a person who has been diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer, I understand the frustration of watching your house come undone and you can’t do anything about it because you have to rest your body. Food chains and donations are great to receive as a person going through treatments, but I think services like house cleaning or lawn services can also go a long way. Our company is able to provide cancer patients with two free cleanings when they need help the most. Clients are able to donate these cleans to any loved one and we can provide those cleans for them.
The opportunity to help people through our work is priceless. As a small business that has been open for 1 year, we want to provide more community help for years to come. Cleaning for a Reason is our first community charity and it personally means a lot to me and my husband as a cancer patient, caregiver and owner.
